Jeffrey Jansen
Founder/Owner
Jeffrey has over 20 years experience in Analytics and Project Delivery. As the founder and owner of Upstream Bears, he has a wide range of experiences in Microsoft, SAP and AWS platforms delivering Data Integration, Data lake and Data Warehouse solutions. He has been involved in multiple projects spanning different industries such as Banking, SuperFunds, Telco, Mining and Government.
Malcolm Dixon
Project Manager
Malcolm has 16 years experience in delivering projects in Business Intelligence, Analytics and Integration across Insurance, Utilities, Mining, Telecommunications and Retail industries. Malcolm is process, outcome focused and with his depth of industry experiences and analytical background, he has the ability to be immersed in new subject areas quickly. His success is in part due to the way he leads his teams ensuring they are invested and committed to the outcome of the project.
Callan Rankine
Business Analyst
Callan has seven years experience as a Business Analyst delivering Business Intelligence (BI), Analytics and Integration projects across the Insurance and Retail industries. His continued success is built on his engagement strategies with teams to conceptually understand enterprise value stream business models driven to successfully deliver project outcomes.
Colin Saul
Developer
Colin is a developer proficient in Analytics and Integration within the BI space in the Financial, Insurance, and ICT industry. In Previous roles Colin has performed data analysis and integration, developed and maintained codebases for applications deployed both hardware and software for server/networks as part of various IT related projects.
Kevin Lee
Developer
Kevin joined Upstream Bears as a Business Intelligence Developer and has gained experience across Insurance, Health Care, Aged Care and Education sectors. Kevin is a decisive, focused and results-oriented IT professional with an extensive understanding in Business Intelligence and Data Engineering. His passion is to assist businesses to use robust technologies to derive business insights and solve complex business problems. He has Microsoft accreditation in Power BI, SQL and Data Warehousing plus experience with Python Programming.
Joshua Duncan-Ross
Tester
Joshua is a Business Analyst/Tester, based in Brisbane and has gained experience in a number of sectors including Aged care/Health Superannuation and Utilities. During that time he has excelled at working with businesses to construct solutions to enable users to complete detailed data analysis. He has significant experience in gathering business requirements, reviewing business processes and providing insights on areas for improvements. His analytical skills and learning capability enable him to adapt to new processes, technologies and situations quickly and efficiently.
Christian Lindenberg
Tester
Christian is a Tester and Quality Assurance Analyst who has experience in performing systems, system integration, functional and performance testing, as well as end-to-end data migration and reconciliation testing of complex business applications, databases, interfaces and reports. He is skilled in using HP Quality Centre, Sharepoint, Jira, Confluence and is familiar utilising the Agile methodology. Christian has proven himself to be a core team member who is able to quickly build rapport with business areas to ensure quality assurance requirements meet business needs to enable the success of any project.
Kirsten Fitzjohn
Business Analyst
Kirsten is a delivery orientated person who offers a proven track record of project experience specialising in data quality, BI Business Analysis and applying accredited project management framework controls, processes and tools that contribute to successful project and program delivery. Kirsten is also skilled in using project management tools such as Sharepoint, Confluence, JIRA and supports her analysis through SQL querying.
